Wax Melt Eco Soy Wax

Description

Golden Wax 494 is a natural soy wax designed specifically  for  creating  wax melts.

It is the  perfect wax  for creating smooth, shiny and frost-free melts.

This wax has an excellent scent throw, mould release and holds strong vibrant colours.

We would not recommend this wax for candles, due to its botanical additives it will not burn with a wick.

Melting and Pouring:

The melting point is 49-52C.

Temporary high temperatures (up to 90°C) have no adverse effect as long as the wax is cooled back down quickly. Higher temperatures may cause the wax to discolour. Allow the wax to cool to your desired pour temperature, add the fragrance at approx 70°C and mix well. Be sure to stir/mix the wax while melting. Digital temperature probes are readily available and are a safer choice than the traditional Mercury in glass type.

Pour temperatures should be reasonably high (71°C), unless you are pouring into plastic clamshells, then we recommend no higher than 60C.

Pour temperatures may vary according to mould type & size, fragrance & dye used and the effects the candlemaker wishes to achieve.

Fragrance & Colour:

May be used with fragrances from 5% to a maximum of  10%. Add fragrance close to the pour temperate (around 60 degrees) for best results.

You can use liquid and chip dye with wax.
